Levels, partners, dress codes, muffins:
answers to the questions we hear the most

Yes! Beginner/Intermediate classes are offered in every style, and Solo Swing needs no partner: it's the perfect way in. The morning warm-up and 'all levels' workshops are open to everyone.

Deb/Int: solid basics, about 1 year of dancing. Int/Av: 2–3 years of practice, comfortable at parties. Exp: seasoned dancers, advanced variations and technique. All levels: everyone welcome. Please respect the levels so everyone gets the most out of each class.

Single classes are booked as a couple. For passes, get in touch: depending on the leader/follower balance we'll do our best. And Solo Swing is 100% partner-free!

A friendly competition open to all festival-goers, all styles welcome: prelims on Saturday night, final on Sunday night, and a prize for 1st place. The idea: have fun and light up the floor, not take yourself too seriously.

Each night has its own theme, revealed before the festival (in 2026: Fifties, Hollywood Chic, Hawaii & Navy). The dress code is a game, never an obligation : come as you are, vintage outfits always welcome!

The 1-Day Pass (Saturday or Sunday) includes that day's classes and concert night. The Party Pass covers all 3 nights, and each night is also available at the door, subject to availability.

The festival's tastiest tradition: on Sunday night, muffins land on the dance floor to end the weekend on a sweet note. You'll understand once you're there.

The welcome desk opens on Friday late afternoon at Europia (46 avenue Robert Schuman): wristband pick-up, welcome drink and a first class before the opening night. Exact times will be confirmed with the 2027 schedule.
